Rajasthan Royals claim victory over Chennai Super Kings in high-scoring IPL match at Sawai Man Singh Stadium

Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced off in a thrilling IPL match at Sawai Man Singh Stadium. RR posted a massive total of 202/5, courtesy of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s explosive knock of 77 off 43 balls, supported by Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal’s finishing efforts. Jaiswal’s half-century in just 26 balls set the tone for the Royals to dominate the powerplay and score 64 runs in the first six overs. After Jaiswal’s dismissal, RR struggled to maintain their run rate, but Padikkal and Jurel’s 48-run partnership off 20 balls propelled them to a mammoth score.

In response, CSK found it hard to keep up with the required run rate, and despite Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 47 off 29 balls, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Ajinkya Rahane’s departure for 15 off 13 balls left CSK hoping for a miracle partnership between Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube. Although Dube’s knock of 52 off 33 balls kept them interested, it was too late as RR’s Adam Zampa took three wickets, including Gaikwad’s, and restricted CSK to 170/6. RR won the match by 32 runs, becoming the first team to score over 200 runs in an IPL match at Sawai Man Singh Stadium and moving back to the top of the table.
