The fourth Test match between India and Australia ended in a boring draw, resulting in India winning the four-match series 2-1 and retaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the fourth time in a row. This victory also marks India’s 16th consecutive Test series win at home.
The two teams are set to face each other again in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final, scheduled to take place at The Oval in London from June 7. India secured their spot in the final alongside Australia after New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka on the last ball of the first Test in Christchurch. Sri Lanka’s chances of qualifying for the final were dashed as they needed to win both matches against New Zealand, but their hopes were crushed by a brilliant century from Kane Williamson.
