In the latest episode of RCB podcast, Virat Kohli talks about how his life changed after meeting Anushka Sharma

In the realm of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli has earned a reputation as one of the greatest batters. Kohli has also inspired his teammates with his exceptional fitness regimen, which has become a cult within the Indian team. However, his journey wasn’t always easy, as he underwent a challenging process to transform from a chubby bloke to a gluten-free athlete.

In a recent episode of RCB Podcast, Kohli discussed his life-changing moment and the crucial role his wife, Anushka Sharma, has played in his life over the years.

Kohli stated, “When my father passed away, my outlook towards things changed, but my life didn’t change as such. The incident gave me a lot of resilience, a lot of focus on what I want to do in life, and a lot of motivation to realize my dream, but it wasn’t life-changing. I was still playing cricket, I was still doing what I had to do, and the environment was quite similar.”

He went on to say, “I would say a life-changing moment would be when I met Anushka because I saw a different side of life. It wasn’t similar to my environment; it was a different perspective, a different point of view, so that’s what is life-changing. Because when you fall in love, you start processing those changes within you as well because you have to move together. So, to do that, you have to open yourself up; you need to accept a lot of things, and that for me was life-changing.”

Despite struggling to score runs in the red ball format, Kohli made a comeback last year with some impressive performances in white ball cricket. Currently playing the Test series against Australia, Kohli has only scored 111 runs in the three Tests he has played. The onus is on him to score runs on a batting-friendly wicket in the ongoing fourth Test in Ahmedabad.
