The Delhi Capitals are facing an injury crisis ahead of the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League, with their captain and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant unable to participate due to injuries. However, the franchise is expected to announce a replacement for him, and it seems that 20-year-old Bengal wicketkeeper-batsman Abhishek Porel is the likely candidate, as per a report by news agency PTI. Porel has showcased his all-round abilities by making significant contributions with the bat and displaying impressive wicketkeeping skills. In the ongoing Ranji Trophy, he scored 49, 51, and 50 in different matches. Overall, Porel has played 16 first-class games for Bengal, amassing 695 runs with six half-centuries, and has taken 58 catches and eight stumpings as a keeper.
