RCB vs RR IPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) secured a seven-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, carrying forward their winning momentum. Rajasthan required 190 runs to win but lost their star opener Jos Buttler for a duck.
However, Devdutt Padikkal and Yashasvi Jaiswal steadied their innings with a 98-run partnership for the second wicket. But after Padikkal’s dismissal, Yashasvi and Sanju Samson were removed quickly, and Shimron Hetmyer was run-out for 3. A late cameo by Dhruv Jurel kept RR in the hunt, but they could only manage 182/6 in 20 overs, falling short by seven runs.
Earlier, RCB’s Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell smashed half-centuries, adding 127 runs for the third wicket after the early dismissal of Virat Kohli. Rajasthan’s bowlers produced a fightback, but RCB still posted a challenging total of 189/9 in 20 overs.
