Dhoni is widely loved in Chennai and is still leading the team in the IPL 2023. During the opening match against Gujarat Titans, he played a crucial role in the final phase of the innings, hitting some massive shots that entertained the fans at Narendra Modi Stadium.
However, Chennai Super Kings lost the match by three runs, and head coach Stephen Fleming revealed that Dhoni was nursing a knee injury in the post-match press conference.
